Similar to a disclosing solution (the red dye that shows where you missed brushing) we use a solution or dye that binds to proteins and components found in dental decay to visually “highlight” the area. Dr. Gaudio always performs this visual cavity detection during any tooth preparation to avoid leaving any cavity untreated.
